Undergraduate - Instruction: Course coordinator (17 semesters) for over 190 Agricultural Biotechnology Independent Undergraduate Research projects (3 credit hours or more). Research: Very active in undergraduate research: sponsored 56 credit hours of undergraduate research in my lab.

Knowledge Transfer
Conceived, organized, and sponsored (as the University of Kentucky-Alltech Professor of Applied Nutritional Sciences), 4 workshops (experimental design, RNA processing, RNA-silencing, bioinformatic analysis, and statistical analyses), nine seminars, and two symposiums on nutrigenomics and/or epigenetics, by leading researchers from Univ. of Illinois, Penn State Univ., Univ. California, The Ohio State Univ., Texas A&M Univ., NIH/NCI, Univ. Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, INRA, and Queen’s Medical Centre. Over 1,200 undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty from Univ. of Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky Univ., and private industry groups attended these presentations.
