*Disclaimer – The content and activities of the Pre-Vet Experience Day are designed for college students. For liability purposes, participants should be 18 or older and are responsible for securing their own transport to their focus site. The registration fee of $25 per person will cover breakfast, snack and networking lunch along with entry into morning seminars, panel sessions, and one afternoon focus site.

Equine Veterinary Medicine Private Equine Clinic		Park Equine Hospital is an equine medical center that provides comprehensive surgical, reproductive, and general medicine services to horses. Services include ambulatory care, diagnostics, surgery, podiatry, sports medicine, and alternative therapies. Park Equine Hospital also utilizes on-site resources that include a standing MRI, pharmacy, and laboratory services. Dr. John Park is a native of Estill County, Kentucky. Corporate Large Animal Veterinary Medicine Livestock Sales Facility		Bluegrass Stockyards has operated with the highest level of integrity and commitment to customer service since its opening in 1946. With multiple locations, cattle sales are happening six days per week, in addition to sales of hogs, sheep, goats, horses and equipment. Bluegrass Stockyards veterinarian Dr. Chris Jolly is a UK graduate and works to maintain animal health in the livestock production industry. Mixed Animal Veterinary Medicine Private Mixed Animal Clinic		Commonwealth Veterinary Clinic (CVC), is a privately owned, mixed-animal veterinary clinic in Georgetown, Kentucky. Government, Corporate, and Academic Veterinary Medicine	UK's Veterinary Diagnostic Lab	Visit the University of Kentucky's Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory to gain insight into career opportunities for veterinarians in government, corporate, and academic positions. Many rewarding career paths for veterinarians exist in governmental agencies, academia, private companies and foundations. Wildlife Veterinary Medicine Practical Wildlife Opportunities	The Thoroughbred Center	Veterinary opportunities to work with and for wildlife can span multiple career paths. In this focus area, learn from three veterinarians whose activities intersect with wildlife in diverse ways. Speakers include a veterinarian who investigates wildlife, zoo and exotic animals as a portion of her pathology case load, a veterinarian who has experience practicing wildlife medicine and surgery, and Kentucky's state wildlife veterinarian, whose focus is primarily wildlife disease epidemiology and wildlife health policy.
