I grew up showing livestock of all species with my sisters formerly known as the Ballman Sisters. Maintaining a primary focus on the swine industry I currently run 15 purebred Yorkshire and Berkshire sows with my dad, marketing show pigs to the southeastern states. I have 3 kids who have followed my passion for showing livestock and enjoy attending shows across the state especially the Kentucky Junior Livestock Expos. My sister Hope & I are the 4 H livestock leaders in Grayson County and coach the livestock judging team. My judging history goes back to Breckinridge County 4H judging where I was coached by Terry Burks and I've grown up in the industry watching many iconic livestock judges across the nation.

I grew up on a Chi influenced beef cattle operation. While in 4-H and FFA I was involved in raising and exhibiting market lambs, hogs, goats, and beef cattle. I enjoyed livestock judging and served as the American Jr. Chianinia Association President and board members for 8 years. After high school, I attended Western KY University where I was a member of the Livestock Judging Team and received numerous recognitions for reasons and placings. While at WKU I specialized in Animal Science then attended Texas Tech and obtained my Master's in Agriculture Education. Throughout the years I have had the pleasure to judge shows in 6 states ranging from county fairs, district shows, and state fairs. I am currently employed as an agriculture educator and volunteer time as a livestock 4-H leader in the county. My family and I are heavily involved in raising and marketing livestock projects to youth across the U.S. I have a true passion for the livestock industry and assisting youth to reach their goals and dreams. Supporting youth through livestock is a highlight and look forward to working with your livestock show!

My judging background started back in 6th grade when I started Livestock Judging through FFA & 4-H. During that time my team and I had a successful run. We attended Southeast Regional Contest (x3) in Raleigh, NC , Aksarben (x1) in Grand Island, NE, and American Royal (x1) in Kansas City, MO. Currently, I am an incoming Sophomore at Lake Land College in Mattoon, IL; I'm on Livestock Judging Team at Lake Land as well. I have a strong passion for livestock shows and what they stand for. It's not for the parents or breeders, but for the kids! I am interested in judging in the state of Kentucky because I want to spread my love and passion for this industry to the kids and what it stands for! By judging shows it helps me give back to the industry what it taught me and what kind of person it has turned me into today.

Ive grown up raising a small herd of commercial cattle and show goats and then eventually found a love for all species and have exhibited Beef Cattle, Dairy Cattle, Hogs, Sheep, Goats, Poultry, and Rabbits. A few years ago, I found my true passion, livestock judging. Through livestock judging, I was able to accomplish many personal and team goals. Some include High Individual at our state judging contest, High Individual, 2nd High Individual, and 4th High Individual the past three years at the American Royal in Kansas City. High Individual at the Keystone International in Harrisburg, PA, High Individual at Boilermaker and The Stockman in IN. Winning reasons at each of those contests (my favorite part!). Additionally, my team and I were able to receive top honors at the 2019 NAILE 4-H livestock judging contest. I plan to further my education and judging career at Black Hawk East in Kewanee, Illinois to pursue a degree in Agriculture Education. I may be young but Im a firm believer that a good stockman is a good stockman, no matter the age. I love God, livestock, people, and giving back to the organizations like 4-H and FFA that have played a large role in my successes. I want to inspire young people to pursue degrees in agriculture, encourage them, and be a positive role model for those in the Kentucky livestock industry. Getting to judge any show in this great state would be an absolute honor.

After working with the American Angus Association, for nearly 9 years, I relocated to the Midwest to focus on a career in livestock marketing, sales, and started a showpig operation that markets showpig prospects nationwide, and has produced success stories at every level. I have been around animals all of my life. I grew up riding horses and competing in dressage along with being captain of my high school equestrian team. I also raised chickens and ducks all while living in Southern California. I moved to Kentucky 5 years ago and now have a 5-acre farm with over 100 animals. Cows, sheep, goats, alpacas, llama, horse, ducks, chickens, geese, quail, and bunnies. I have recently become interested in livestock judging after hearing about it from a co-worker. So, I do not have any previous experience, but I would love to learn how to become a livestock judge. I have an interest because I love animals and I think in today's world it is important to instill that in young people as they connect animals and develop a work ethic that will grow with them as they mature and become adults.

I placed in the top ten in several contests, however I feel that I didn't flourish as an evaluator until I had the opportunity to coach when we lived in VA. I assisted with the state champion 4H and FFA teams who both went on to be extremely successful. Recently, I have judged several smaller breed shows at NAILE and the National Highland Junior Show at the National Western in 2020. In addition to that, I have sat on the committee for judging contests on the state, regional and National level. It would be my privilege to have an opportunity to judge more shows here locally in KY."

Grew up raising commercial cattle and later partnered into a commercial swine operation. Exhibited pigs and cattle through FFA and passed that tradition to my kids who showed until the aged out. And now I have grandkids showing sheep, pigs, and goats. I’ve had the opportunity to judge several Ky county fairs, as well as District shows and expos. I have a passion for the livestock industry and enjoy watching the future develop and learn about their projects.

My family and I grew up raising and showing Chianina, Chiangus and Hereford cattle, showing competitively not only here in KY, but nationally. My primary focus has been beef cattle but have also shown sheep, swine and goats. I was high individual at the 2008 KY 4-H Livestock Judging Contest and later attended Ft. Scott Community College on a full judging scholarship before transferring to Morehead State University where I too, was on the judging team. I've judged various shows and showmanships in KY, TN, IN and WV, with the highlight being the 2014 Hoosier Beef Congress Showmanship Contest. I love working with youth and understand the importance of livestock programs and youth development events. Today, my family is still very active raising livestock. My two children are now involved with the same breed associations I was and we cannot wait until they're old enough to participate in 4-H and FFA.

I started livestock judging when I was 9 years old and went on to compete as a member of the Maryland State 4-H Judging Team. We ranked 5th as a team and I ranked 25th as an individual for the national competition. I also won the Eastern National competition that year. I attended the University of Kentucky for my undergraduate degree and competed on UK's Livestock Judging team during my senior year. We placed in numerous contest around the nation during that judging season. I enjoy judging shows today as a way to stay involved with the livestock industry and to help with the youth who have that same interest.

Grew up showing beef cattle in Kentucky, therefore a so said product of the program. Have raised and exhibited beef cattle at the local state and national level for several years. Of those 20 plus years of exhibiting I have raised and/or exhibited over 70 state fair champions in 3 different breeds as well as several regional champion females and bulls, also have raised and exhibited national champions at the American Royal, NAILE, NWSS, and Jr. National heifer shows. I think the youth of Kutucky deserve to exhibit their cattle under judges who give all exhibitors a fair evaluation of their cattle and realize the quality of cattle at which we should strive to produce in the state.

I grew up showing hogs in Idaho and judged for both Fort Scott Community College and Texas A&M University-Commerce where my team won goats in San Antonio and I was 6th in individual placings in Louisville and tied 10th individual placings in Houston, but I believe my true ability is to work with youth in showmanship. I was quite possibly the worst showmanship in the state for a time, (I actually unbottoned my shirt in the ring when I was 8). And while I have a speech impediment, if you allow me on the mic I break things down simply and spend time teaching as much as critiquing. I am thankful for the opportunities I have been given and hope to be able to share my ability to see livestock with more and help people leave how to make them look their best when being shown and what to do before to get prepared to make this the best experience for all.

I'm a fourth generation farmer devoted to the beef cattle industry and developing angus cattle. I was a member of the Morehead State livestock judging team. I grew up showing Angus cattle and still do, a big part of our business is assisting young 4-Hers with their projects while building their work ethic and ability to do by learning. I strongly beleive that livestock shows are more about the kids on the halter than the animal, however the lessons learned by winning& losing impacts that showman and can build on their character. As far as past judgeing experience I have judged a few county fairs nothing major but I feel confident in my ability to make decisions and to be fair to all participants.

With over 30 years of involvement in the livestock industry, my passion for it runs deep. Growing up on a large farm, I began showing swine at the age of 9 and have since passed on my knowledge to my children. My love for the industry led me to join our local judging team and competed several times at the University of Kentucky, an experience that I cherish to this day. Now, I devote my time to helping the youth in our county with their livestock projects and animal reasoning. It's been a great opportunity for me to give back to the community, and I strongly believe that promoting the 4H/FFA show experience is an excellent way to encourage young people's involvement in the industry. I've conducted local show clinics to teach proper show techniques, animal nutrition, and care for their 4H projects. Currently, I'm a member of the Lions Club and run a large livestock show in our area. Additionally, I was a recent panelist on showpig.com, answering questions for the youth in the show industry. My recent focus has been on specializing in breeders/genetics. If you need a judge for your local show, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

I grew up on a family farm raising cattle, pigs and crops. During my school years, I showed beef and swine in 4-H and FFA and that taught me many valuable skills and responsibilities. It was then that I developed a passion for the systems and programs that encourage those developmental skills. I became and ag teacher and then a 4-H agent for 23 years where I promoted not only showing livestock, but also had competitive livestock and horse judging teams as well as national qualifying livestock and horse quiz bowl teams. I thoroughly enjoy working with kids and animals and using the livestock event to not only evaluate the classes, but to also educate the exhibitors and families about the agricultural industry.
