Presented to:  Dr. Sally Northcutt

Dr. Sarah (Sally) L. Northcutt was born and raised in Lexington, KY.  She attended the University of Kentucky and received her B.S. in Animal Sciences in 1985.  She received her M.S. in Animal Sciences under the direction of Dr. Fred Thrift in 1987 and her Ph.D. in Animal Breeding at Iowa State University in 1990.

Genetic evaluation is an evolving science and Dr. Sally Northcutt is a major contributor of this technology to the beef cattle industry.
